MindShare 2012 – Brighter Together

On April 27, 2012, Mary Jane joined more than 650 people at DeVos Place for MindShare 2012. MindShare is the Student Advancement Foundation’spremiere gala—a fund- and friend-raising event like no other. Those gathered left no doubt about our community’s commitment to its students and their success.

The Student Advancement Foundation (SAF) was created in 1993 to provide a vehicle to solicit gifts from the community and contribute supplemental funds for Grand Rapids Public Schools activities and programs. Believing all students deserve the chance to succeed, SAF has raised almost $8 million since 1993 to provide GRPS students the educational tools and enrichment experiences they need to learn, offering invaluable experiences in literacy, art, math and science, the environment and physical wellness.

Knowing how critical the impact is on the students in our community, Fishladder Inc. is excited to participate with SAF by donating funds to provide for one GRPS elementary school’s sports program for the coming school year. The funds will help provide tools and support to get children active and keep them healthy.
